Run Melbourne isn’t your average run. Over the last 12 years it has grown into a movement that has changed the culture of what it means to run through the city streets. With closed roads and a fast, flat course, more than 20,000 runners descend on the streets, heading past some of Melbourne’s most famous landmarks.
Join Team Stroke by taking part in the 5km, 10km or half marathon distances on Sunday 25 July to help fight stroke.
Stroke is one of Australia's leading causes of death and disability. It attacks the brain – the human control centre, changing lives in an instant, and its impact extends well beyond the immediate medical emergency.
In 2020 over 27,400 Australians experienced a stroke for the first time in their lives. That is one stroke every 19 minutes.
With your support, the Stroke Foundation can provide support to those affected right now and fund research to help prevent stroke, save lives and enhance recovery/
